Thermal imaging is a valuable diagnostic tool which could save businesses costly repairs down the track.

The technology can be used to identify and pinpoint temperature irregularities in a range of electrical and mechanical components and because most industrial, electrical and mechanical problems tend to occur when there is a temperature increase in the working components, we are able to detect the problems well in advance and provide you with a prioritisation for maintenance or repairs to be done.

Horizon Power, Shire of Broome and numerous other companies have already benefited from Smithfield’s thermal imaging inspections which some with a comprehensive report and analysis, supplying the customer with accurate data to prioritise preventative maintenance or repairs.

In addition to being the Kimberley specialist for fire systems installations, maintenance and electrical testing, Smithfield are able to carry out test and tagging of portable and fixed appliances to current Australian Standards.

Smithfield also have the instrumentation to enable field testing of Earthing Systems and carry out Data Logging for clients who requires details of full load current, power factor and harmonics monitoring.

Our expertise extends to the specializing in data and communications installations and repairs and one the only Siemon accredited service providers in the Kimberley.

We have two Plumbers who have many years experience in house building. We also have 2 carpenters who are fully experienced in repairs and maintenance and are competent in floor and wall tiling and painting. They all have had many years experience in all of these areas in the Pilbara and Victoria.

We also have a metal fabricator and welder we are now able to provide a full facility management service by utilizing our in house team and there is little that can’t be handled by the Smithfield crew.

Our company is now operational in Halls Creek and Fitzroy Crossing where we are now mobilizing our Refrigeration Mechanic, an electrician and a Data and Communication Technician.

With energy becoming more costly our Green Team have become the Kimberley distributors for all of the Green Energy Systems (GES)tm and are able to provide a Sustainable Home Asser and SUNGRID solar panels and the amazing APRICAS solar water heating systems, coming soon are the revolutionary HEAT PUMPS for real cost savings on electrical water heating systems.

Combining extensive experience with innovative thinking, Smithfield’s qualified technicians are able to service homes and businesses from Kununurra to Port Hedland and are also actively involved in carrying out work in remote indigenous communities.

Our rates are $105.00 per hour plus GST and materials are charged at trade prices plus 35%, all quotes are detailed and invoices totally itemised and costed, copies of timesheets are available. We employ 10 tradesmen and 2 apprentices and are available to provide Maintenance and Breakdown service on a 24/7 basis and are happy to provide these service throughout the Kimberley and Pilbara.

Our other division is able to provide a number of training, risk assessment and risk management services and provide in comprehensive in house training packages specifically geared to your particular requirements. We are able to deliver accredited packages such as the Blue Card for construction workers and Working at Heights and Confined Space training.
